SUMMARY:
Mr. Nam is a licensed professional engineer in California and a licensed structural engineer in California and South Korea. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Hanyang University in South Korea, and a master’s degree in structural engineering from South Dakota State University. He undertook studies in Ph.D. program in structure engineering at the University of California, Irvine. For more than 26 years, Mr. Nam has designed and directed large and complex projects including new construction, historic renovations, additions, and seismic upgrades and retrofits. He has been Project Manager and Project Principal on a variety of projects including education, commercial, high-rise, healthcare, cultural, and sports. Mr. Nam is an active member of Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC), International Code Council (ICC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Asian American Architects and Engineers Association (AAa/e) and Collaborative for High Performance Schools, Inc. (CHPS).
