The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works allocated nearly $4M to remodel the 6,000-square-foot Urgent Care facility. The design-build project is an Urgent Care Remodel which involves a 2,000 square foot addition that will need a pedestrian connection to the nearby sidewalk. The new addition will also entail ambulance parking stall reconfiguration and overall surface parking configuration per Code.
VCA Engineers, Inc. was the Lead Civil Engineer of this site improvement which included preparing design development documents to include civil drawings depicting: Site Horizontal and Vertical Control, Site Paving, Grading and Drainage with local Storm Water Management Design (SUSMP), hydrology and hydraulics study, Utility Plans and Site Sections. VCA Engineers was also responsible for the design of the wet utilities such as storm drain lines, fire water, potable water, and sanitary sewer related to the improvements only. In addition, VCA is providing construction assistance for this design-build project.
