Project Description:

The Los Angeles County conducted a feasibility study of constructing the New Fire Station 150 on a 2-acre site. This new Fire Station will provide improved fire protection, emergency medical and life safety services to Santa Clarita and nearby unincorporated areas of northern Los Angeles County. The new 20,000 sq. ft. facility includes a three-bay apparatus room, training room, exercise room, kitchen, day room and dormitories. In addition, the New Fire Station 150 will meet the LEED’s Silver Certification requirements of the Countywide Energy and Environmental Policy.

VCA’s Role:

VCA provided full Civil Engineering services for this design-build project. Such as finished floor elevations of the new structures that are relative to the site for drainage and ADA compliance. All construction documents depicting: site horizontal and vertical control, paving, grading and drainage plans with storm water management design (SUSMP), cut and fill, hydrology, erosion control plans, utility plans (domestic and fire water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer). In addition VCA provided Construction Assistance during construction all while achieving Silver Certification per LEED’s Standards.
