Project Description:

The City of Los Angeles intends to carry out various tasks at the Reseda Recreation Center, which features such amenities including a baseball field, volleyball court, basketball court, children’s play area, community room and tennis court. The proposed project involves the demolition of existing structures to construct a new pool building, new 75’ by 120’ pool, side tank with water slides and a spectator area. Located in South Valley, Reseda Park Pool would be used for sports programs such as inner tube water polo, swim team, synchronized swim and junior lifeguard training programs.

VCA’s Role:

VCA Engineers, Inc. was responsible for civil engineering design services for the project, including tasks such as evaluation of existing conditions, obtaining civil requirements from the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, review of as-built records and other reports, point of connections for various utilities, coordination with utility owners, grading and drainage with local Storm Water Management Design (SUSMP) and LEED certification and preparation of construction documents.
